STAND Northeast Regional Conference at Clark University

Join STAND chapters and individual activists from across the northeast for our Northeast Regional Conference. On March 25-26, students will convene at Clark University in Worcester, MA to learn about the importance of student activism and the various actions we can take to prevent and end genocide and mass atrocities.

Through interactive workshops, informed speakers, in-depth discussions, and a virtual reality video, participants will learn about the conflict in Burma and how they can make a difference in the country considered “most at risk of genocide.” Everyone is invited to take part in this two-day long event to connect with other community leaders and activists who are passionate about protecting human rights in the U.S. and abroad.

From March 24-26 at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, STAND will be hosting a conference on genocide and atrocity prevention. The 3-day conference will consist of speaker panels, interactive activities, and a film festival featuring various films related to genocides and mass atrocities around the world, including a Virtual Reality experience titled Call Us Rohingya.

On April 1-2, join STAND, Jewish World Watch, and Together We Remember at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA to learn about the importance of student activism and actions we can take to prevent and end genocide and mass atrocities.

With educational panels, film screenings, influential speakers, and advocacy workshops, participants will leave the conference not only with a greater knowledge of genocide in the 21st century, but how they, as student advocates can work to end and prevent genocide by taking direct actions. You’re invited to take part in this two-day long event to connect with other passionate community leaders and activists working to protect human rights in the U.S. and abroad.

Cost: $20 for students / $75 all others. Meals and materials included in the admission fee.
