After seeing the lack of knowledge about Darfur on campus the STAND chapter at the University of Delaware was founded in late 2006. During our time as an organization at UD we have spoken in an organized setting to over 1,000 students, hosted a candlelight vigil, held two dinners, showed numerous movies and much more! As well, we have teamed up with other student groups to host numerous events such as bringing Paul Rusesabagina, who drew a crowd of approximately 800 to speak, UD's Next Top Model in order to raise funds, and a Freedom Seder with Hillel among other things. We always love to see new faces at our weekly meetings and our events!
