MHS STANDCREATED:06.11.2008
North CarolinaSoutheastUnited States
In the fall of 2007 Zach Peirce, a sophomore at the time, decided that something had to be done to help the people that are suffering in Darfur. That is when MHS STAND was born. MHS STAND is a chapter that is part of the national organization STAND: A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition. As a chapter we work to raise awareness about genocide, raise funds for people that are suffering through a genocide, and lobby our political leaders to take action. So far MHS STAND has been quite successful in many different ways such as the Holocaust awareness event, DarfurFest, and now we are focusing on the national campaign S.E.A.L. Together we are determined to make a difference. Together we STAND Up!
