Colin O'Brien is the High School Division's Outreach Coordinator, working to help high schoolers start STAND chapters and execute different campaigns. Colin joined the Darfur Action Network at Brown University as a freshman and has been continually been inspired by the enthusiasm of students in this group as well as Darfur activists throughout Rhode Island and the United States. Colin is a sophomore at Brown and a biology concentrator. He grew up in Wayland, MA. |

Originally from the coast of North Carolina, Ashley is an International Studies major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is intricately involved in her local chapter and now brings her passion to empower students in the fight to end genocide to STAND chapters and activists across the Southeast. After college, Ashley would love to continue to help others in the movement to protect human rights around the world. |

As Northeast Outreach Coordinator Amy works to create a community of STAND activists providing them with the tools and guidance they need in order to become an efficient anti-genocide student movement. Since getting involved with Darfur activism her Freshman year of college, Amy has devoted her time and energy into understanding as much about the conflict as possible in order to better educate the people around her. As the founder of her STAND chapter at Roger Williams University she works to balance the priorities of her chapter while focusing on better strengthening the motivation and dedication of RISTAND. Amy is currently a Junior at Roger Williams University in Bristol Rhode Island and double majoring in International Relations and Economics. She grew up in Henniker, New Hampshire. |

As the Midwest Outreach Coordinator, Lauren focuses on developing the existing chapters in the Midwest, STAND's fastest growing region. A member of Chi Omega Women's Fraternity and a communications junior, Lauren aspires to eventually become involved in socially-responsible marketing in the business sector. Lauren is originally from Austin, Texas, but now spends all of her time rooting for the University of Oklahoma. |

Katie Flamand, 20, is a sophomore at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where she is majoring in Political Science and Spanish. As Great Lakes Outreach Coordinator, Katie helps chapters in the region to start up and organize initiatives and events. She is committed to networking among chapters and helping them to connect in order to strengthen their campaigns and improve the overall movement. Katie has been chapter leader on her campus since last April and has been instrumental in a number of activities including divesting all three University of Illinois campuses. She is also very involved with Hurricane Katrina relief work. |

Nick is a sophmore at Swarthmore college, and has worked with Swarthmore Sudan for two years. He is majoring in History and Linguistics and particularly enjoys African studies and cultural anthropology. |

As the West Coast Regional Outreach Coordinator, Charlotte Hill, 19, helps unite the multicultural western region in its effort to stop the atrocities in Darfur. After hearing about Darfur in English class during her senior year of high school, Charlotte began extensively researching the genocide, eventually deciding to devote her life to eradicating global conflict. A junior at UC Berkeley, Charlotte is currently majoring in Peace and Conflict Studies and co-directing the Bay Area Student Genocide Coalition. |

Olivia, a junior at Queens University of Charlotte, studies English, Spanish, and Political Science. A photo spread of the Darfur atrocities in a doctor's lobby magazine moved her to become involved with STAND-- and eventually to found a chapter at Queens. A native of North Carolina, Olivia serves as the Southeast Outreach Coordinator. She works closely with chapters in the region to encourage development and collaborative efforts, and help out with events and campaigns. |

Will, 19, is a sophomore at UNC-Wilmington where he is double majoring in History and Human Geography. Will discovered the crisis in Darfur early in 2006 and, after arriving at UNC-Wilmington, started the Wilmington Chapter of STAND. Will has been active in the anti-genocide world ever since. As New Chapter Outreach Coordinator, Will helps provide the resources and support materials students need when starting a new chapter. Will is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from high school in Greensboro, North Carolina. |

I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and am now double majoring in History and Philosophy/Religion and hope to pursue a graduate degree in African Studies. I first learned of the situation in Darfur when I was a freshman in college and helped found my school's chapter in September of 2006. My favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla moosetracks and if I could be any animal I would be an elephant. |

Raised in Fayetteville, NC, Amit Gupta is now a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is majoring in Anthropology and Biology and aspires to be a physician. As the Southeast High School Outreach Coordinator, Amit helps chapters in the region start up, organize events and initiatives, and work together. Experiences with living and teaching in a primary school in a village in Ghana, interning at the WHO in Geneva, and coordinating the Schools Outreach Committee of the UNC group S.U.D.A.N. have been important influences in his work with STAND. |

Mid-West High School Outreach Coordinator (Wichita High School East 2008)
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, but raised in Wichita, KS, Kim Thi is a senior at Wichita High School East who is aspiring to go into International Relations, International Business, and Spanish in college. She became involved with the anti-genocide movement and STAND mid-way through her junior year when she joined her state's divestment movement. Since then, Kim has worked with East High's STAND chapter to divest Kansas using the Sudan Divestment Task Force's targeted divestment model, helped network and build activism among high school STAND chapters in the Midwest, and researched for and drafted genocide education reports as a part of the GI-Net's Genocide Education Task Force. Kim is passionate about student activism and eliminating genocide and thus plans to be involved with STAND and the GI-Net for as long as she can.

Midatlantic High School Outreach Coordinator (Magruder High School, 2008)
Tasnim Motala is the Midatlantic High School Outreach Coordinator. She is currently a senior at Magruder High School in Rockville, Maryland. Throughout high school, she has been an ardent Darfur activist and has founded her school's STAND chapter. She has also served as the STAND MD/DC High School State Outreach Coordinator and is also working on strengthening STAND chapters in her parents' home country of South Africa. Tasnim hopes to major in international relations and become a human rights lawyer.

Great Lakes Regional Coordinator (Shaker Heights High School, 2008)
Ben is the Great Lakes High School Outreach Coordinator. He works with the individual chapters in his region and is a vital link between the national organization and each individual chapter. Ben co-founded the STAND Chapter at Shaker Heights High School, where he will be a senior. In addition to Great Lakes Regional Coordinator, he is the president of his Temple Youth Group.

Born in Boston, Kyoko Takenaka is a senior at Newton South High School. She has been actively involved with STAND since the beginning of her junior year, helping to plan events such as the Boston Global Days for Darfur, and the State Radio Darfur Benefit Concert at NSHS, raising over $20,000 for humanitarian aid and civilian protection in Darfur. She has a passion for doing all that she can to end the atrocities in Sudan, and strongly feels that student activists, more than anyone, have the power to make the genocide in Darfur an issue that concerns every individual. As a hiROC, Kyoko is committed to strengthening and networking high school chapters across the northeast. |

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Megan is currently a senior at Desert Vista High School. She helped to co-found a chapter at her high school halfway through her sophomore year and has been an activist for Darfur ever since. As a regional coordinator, she hopes to strengthen chapters and provide a link between the grassroots movement throughout the west coast and the national organization. |
